Lexipol, the leader in policy, training and resources for first responders, government leaders and citizens, recently introduced an enhanced feature to track external training alongside online learning. The tool effectively documents and logs hands-on and face-to-face training to create a complete training transcript for personnel.
As an enhanced feature of Lexipol’s online learning academies, PoliceOne Academy, FireRescue1 Academy, EMS1 Academy, CorrectionsOne Academy and LocalGovU, the External Training Tracker centralizes training records from both online and in-person training in a single place. Administrators can view submitted training at a glance via the Approval Dashboard and easily approve or reject personnel training logs. External training entries are also saved for reuse in instances of repeated training, reducing data entry errors and improving efficiency.
“The External Training Tool simplifies recording, reporting and auditing of all training in one place,” said Lexipol Vice President Tim Kensok. “We know small group trainings, lectures, demonstrations and other types of training that need to be documented occur in public safety agencies every day. This feature integrates functionality for online learning and in-person training to save time and increase efficiency for our customers.”
The tool also works in conjunction with the academies’ Code Manager, allowing users to tag face-to-face training to further clarify training details, to count the training toward learning plans, and/or to ensure training is properly recorded for Insurance Services Office (ISO) or recertification purposes. Not only does this simplify tracking and reporting, but it also improves agency and individual compliance.
